Basketball fans would definitely know the name Yeng Guiao, Head Coach of the NLEX Road Warriors and of our very own "GILAS" Pilipinas. 

Last week, we had the chance to do an interview with him. Coach Yeng happily announced that we (Gilas) will be competing for the World Cup happening August  this year. For more than two years now, coach Yeng has been the coach of Gilas but has been coaching for about 30 years already. 

This year though coach Yeng is running for a Congressional post at the 1st District of Pampanga in the coming May elections. He already served the province back in 2004 as their Vice Governor and was also a Congressman having served Pampanga from 2013 to 2016.

Coach Yeng would like to focus more on Education, Health and of course Sports when
given the chance to have a seat at Congress in this years' election. 

We were also joined by NLEX Road Warriors' Asi Taulava and Kieffer Ravena who gave a few words and their full support for Coach Yeng. Goodluck coach!

Comedy concert queen, Aiai delas Alas announces that she'll be doing another concert for a cause for the benefit of Kristong Hari Church.

The post-apartheid story, Written and Directed by Academy Nominated Roland Joffe and Co-written by Michael Ashton was based on Ashton’s play The Archbishop and The Antichrist. The film thriller drama follows Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s (Whitaker) work as President of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in post-apartheid South Africa, and his struggle with a brutal murderer Piet Blomfeld (Bana) over concession and redemption. 

Described as a story of redemption and forgiveness this film was shot completely in Cape Town, South Africa. Mostly filmed in and around the city, the film crew on many occasions had to endure long days and nights in one of the world’s most dangerous prison facilities, Pollsmoor Maximum Security Prison, where Nelson Mandela himself spent his years between 1982 and 1988. 

Based on the play, The Archbishop and The Antichrist, Roland Joffe, together with Michael Ashton wrote the film’s original screenplay. Craig Baumgarten together with local South African producing partner Zaheer Goodman-Bhyat from Light and Dark Films, and with blessings from the Archbishop himself.

“Archbishop Tutu’s story is poignant and timely” added producers Craig Baumgarten and Zaheer Goodman-Bhyat. “It reminds us of his gift of forgiveness and the healing it brings, and we are honored to tell this story.”      Distributed by Crystalsky Multimedia.

PTV4 brings a compilation of stories of everyday Filipino heroes, the least-told life stories which could be the inspiration of each and every Filipino through its new program SALUDO, a one-hour weekly hero-serye every Sunday at 8:00pm.

On February 17, the program will feature Mr. Erwin Macua, a security guard from Cebu who graduated with Latin honors in St. Theresa’s College and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in 2017.

 "Kahit gaano kahirap kinaya ko, na pagsabayin ang trabaho at pag-aaral. Ayaw ko kasi nung nagpapaturo sa akin ang mga anak ko tapos wala akong maisagot," Macua, now known as the SekyumLaude from Cebu, said when asked what inspired him to finish school.

 SALUDO, under the direction of Bahjo Cabauatan and Onin Estrella, is a production of Leonora Sy, together with the Philippine National Police-Police Community Relations Group (PNP-PCRG) under the leadership of PNP C/Supt. Rhodel Sermonia.

The country’s young and brightest stars aligned and came down to a once-in-blue-moon gathering to support the launch of the Vivo V11 at the Shangri-La at The Fort on September 11, adding more glitz to the brand’s most stellar night of the year.

Vivo’s roster of talents was led by blockbuster actor Daniel Padilla. He was joined by fellow stars Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Barbie Forteza, Kisses Delavin, Iñigo Pascual, Julie Anne San Jose, Loisa Andalio, McCoy de Leon, Elisse Joson, Vern Enciso, Verniece Enciso, Maris Racal, Darren Espanto, Ashley Rivera, Kira Balinger, Chienna Filomeno, and KZ Tandingan.

The launch was kicked off by Julie Anne, also known as the Asia’s Pop Sweetheart, with her powerful medley of Jennifer Lopez songs that pumped up the mood of the guests. KZ, the Soul Supreme, then closed the grand launch with a mini-concert that highlighted her vocal prowess and engaging performance.

The selfie was taken by Darren who made sure that the Vivo endorsers and executives fit the frame. He used the Vivo V11 that features a 25-megapixel AI selfie camera that produce more vivid and vibrant photos.
